Our Story...
Woofstock is here for our communities, to support and celebrate our furry family members and those who love them, by providing positive experiences, educational activities, and to assist in times of crisis.

Umpqua Woofstock, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is deeply dedicated to serving animals and their families in our local communities through the unwavering commitment of our incredible volunteers. Our mission is centered around supporting and celebrating pets by providing enriching experiences, educational opportunities, and essential assistance in times of need, all with the goal of fostering the profound bond between humans and animals.
The funds generated from our events play a critical role in supporting the Umpqua Woofstock Discount Vaccine Clinic, which offers vital aid to family pets in our community. Among our annual highlights are the April Annual Open House fundraiser, our iconic Umpqua Woofstock festival held on the third Saturday in June, and our Howloween Carnival and Discount Vaccine Clinic held on the second Saturday in October.
The April Open House Fundraiser event is a special occasion held at the Sutherlin Community Building. Here, we gather to provide updates to our community, volunteers, and sponsors of our upcoming goals and initiatives. This event is not only informative but also serves as a delightful opportunity for attendees to enjoy refreshments and take part in a silent auction. It's a wonderful way for everyone involved to come together, show their support, and contribute to the continued success of Umpqua Woofstock and its mission.
Our June festival is a vibrant celebration where attendees can take part in a variety of enjoyable activities, including Bobbing for Weenies, talent contests, beauty contests, costume parades, and the thrilling Doggy Dash, alongside interactive activity stations. Registration for these events is just $5 and includes a delightful swag bag filled with goodies from local businesses.
The Howloween Carnival and Discount Vaccine Clinic are made possible with the invaluable assistance of For the Love of Paws. Last year, Umpqua Woofstock's funding enabled For the Love of Paws to host the clinic, resulting in over 180 vaccinated pets. This success prompted us to extend our reach to South County, where an additional 108 pets were vaccinated at the Myrtle Creek Elks Lodge. In March 2024, we hope to continue supporting more residents of Douglas County.
Throughout the year, Umpqua Woofstock actively participates in various fundraising events, collaborating closely with other nonprofits in our community. We offer abundant volunteer opportunities, ranging from event coordination and food distribution to administration, website design, media outreach, community relations, photography, and more. Additionally, we are proud to collaborate with Sutherlin Tractor Supply to support our community food pantries, ensuring that families and their pets have access to essential supplies.
If you're passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of pets and their families, we invite you to join the Umpqua Woofstock team. Our monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at the Pineview Mobile Home Park Club House in Sutherlin at 5:30 pm.
